About the Owners | Mark & Deb Compson

Mark and Deb Compson are the owners of T&A Auto Service, a locally trusted shop proudly serving Sioux Falls.

Mark began his journey with T&A in 2016 after returning home from working in the North Dakota oil fields. With a strong work ethic and hands-on experience, he quickly became an integral part of the business. In April 2021, Mark and Deb purchased T&A Auto Service from the original owners, continuing its long-standing legacy while bringing a fresh, forward-thinking approach.

Before joining the business full-time, Deb worked as a nurse — a background that naturally carries over into the way she approaches customer care, attention to detail, and overall experience. Together, Mark and Deb are highly business-minded and have focused on growing and elevating T&A Auto Service beyond the typical expectations of the auto repair industry.

Since taking ownership, they have expanded their vision by purchasing the property and developing an additional business within the same building — Von Rae Salon Suites — further investing in both their future and the local community.

At the core of everything they do is a simple belief: without their customers, there is no business. That’s why they are committed to providing an experience built on honesty, communication, and trust — going above and beyond what people have come to expect from an auto repair shop.

Outside of the business, Mark and Deb are proud parents to four children. Their oldest, Keaira, is currently in graduate school pursuing a career as a mental health therapist. Karsin, 10, is their special needs son whom they adopted through the foster system — a journey that reflects their deep commitment to family. They also have two younger children, Elsie (8) and Jack (5), who keep life full and busy.

When they do find time away from work, you’ll most likely find them at their permanent campsite along the Missouri River, enjoying fishing, boating, swimming, and making the most of summer together.
